A scoutfly boosted is simply a [[Direction Shift Boosted|direction shift boosted]] that is performed on a scoutfly box. The normal variant of the trick does this with no interruptions.

The zoom variant of the scoutfly boosted involves interrupting the process of the direction shift boosted with the Triangle button to zoom into first person view. Many speedrunners prefer this method because of its higher success rate.

Grig was the first person to discover and perform a Scoutfly Boosted. His method was to frame buffer with pausing until the Scoutfly crate did its hop animation. Once it hopped, Grig would get a boosted from the front of the crate.
