Eco Boost

An eco boost is a technique that can be performed in Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy to gain extra height. When Jak collects eco, he does a small jump, which is often combined with a quad jump to make it even higher. However, by inputting a punch or kick on the right frame, it is possible to perform an eco boost, causing Jak to launch up into the air. This boost is much larger when performed with an eco vent than when performed with eco clusters.

This technique was discovered near the game's release as it was performed accidentally by many casual players.

There is only a window of one frame in which to input the punch or kick when using an eco vent to perform an eco boost. It remains to be tested whether this is the same for eco clusters.
