The skip occurs when the game enters a precomputed visibility mode via specific camera angles and despawns the power cell, along with other <code>ties</code>, as it is being collected. As the power cell despawns, so does the animation sequence, and Jak is returned to a normal, controllable state.

Power cell cutscene skips are minor skips that bypass the animated sequence that occurs every time Jak collects a power cell.

Technical

The skip occurs when the game enters a precomputed visibility mode via specific camera angles and despawns the power cell, along with other ties, as it is being collected. As the power cell despawns, so does the animation sequence, and Jak is returned to a normal, controllable state.

The first power cell cutscene skip was the one in the Snowy Mountain fortress. It was discovered by Monopoly4u on June 7, 2014.
