The platforms rest in a pool of energized water that, if touched by Jak, will reset the progression of the puzzle and deal damage to Jak. If Jak performs a ground pound on one of the platforms, it will bob up and down like a buoy in water. Jak can perform a crouch high jump off of the platform as it bobs upwards to gain more height than usual, which is just enough height to clear the top of the wall collision in the puzzle room. From here, Jak will fall into the water and will be able to swim to the sealed off room containing the power cell.

Technical

The platforms rest in a pool of energized water that, if touched by Jak, will reset the progression of the puzzle and deal damage to Jak. If Jak performs a ground pound on one of the platforms, it will bob up and down like a buoy in water. Jak can perform a crouch high jump off of the platform as it bobs upwards to gain more height than usual, which is just enough height to clear the top of the wall collision in the puzzle room. From here, Jak will fall into the water and will be able to swim to the sealed off room containing the power cell.
