Several methods for bypassing the egg wall have been discovered over the years, though most are now obsolete. The latest version of the skip uses the Tough Puppy vehicle to create a gap in the egg wall's actor collision sphere, allowing Jak to pass through.

The cave entrance itself has no level collision for blocking entry. Instead, the developers used an actor with its own <code>collide-shape-prim-mesh</code>, allowing it to be culled after the cutscene in which Sig destroys it with the Peacemaker plays.

When you wedge the Tough Puppy vehicle close enough to the wall, the <code>collide-shapes</code> of the vehicle's tires slightly clip inside the collision of the wall's actor collision sphere. There is a method the game uses to avoid actors clipping into each other like this called <code>[https://github.com/open-goal/jak-project/blob/36d8213dfbb10c15e3537b6347e8414185084c6b/goal_src/jak3/engine/collide/collide-shape.gc#L2333 do-push-aways]</code>, which runs after a <code>should-push-away-test</code> succeeds.

If the Tough Puppy is positioned correctly, this can push the wall actor far enough away to leave a gap between where it used to be located and the main levels collision big enough to drive the car into the cave and make your way far enough in to hit the trigger that percentage warps you to the ''Destroy Eggs in Cave'' mission.

One minor version difference to note is that on the [https://opengoal.dev OpenGOAL] PC port, the egg wall only seems to be pushed to the left, leaving a gap on the right. However, on all other versions, the egg wall can move either left or right and leave a gap on either side.

'''Ghost glitch''', previously known as '''Nuka glitch''', is when Jak is able to continue walking while the game thinks he is dead. Upon triggering the glitch, Jak will still have 1 health remaining but will be unable to collect power cells, precursor orbs, scout flies, or eco. If Jak already has blue eco when the glitch is triggered, and causes other collectables to be attracted to him using it, they will trail Jak around but not be collected. Other side effects include enemies not targeting Jak and Jak being unable to interact with NPCs and environmental assets such as the Gondola and warp gates. Methods of removing ghost glitch include: bonking, dying, loading a save file, and resetting the console. This glitch shares many similarities with the [[Invulnerability Glitch|invulnerability glitch]] in later games of the series.

There are two known methods to trigger ghost glitch:

* by Jak dying and collecting a power cell on the same frame. The game will believe that Jak has died, but the death sequence is interrupted by playing the power cell cutscene. Once the power cell cutscene ends, ghost glitch will be active.
* by performing a lava walk while Jak has only 1 health remaining.

Ghost glitch was once used in the Low Eco category to complete the Mountain Pass race on foot, but it is no longer used in the current route. It is also the only known way to complete the precursor blockers in Snowy Mountain without collecting precursor orbs. Cloning scout fly power cells with the dupe state can be used to activate ghost glitch without making the power cell unobtainable.

When Jak dies on solid ground, the game changes Jak's state to one that triggers his death animation and makes him unable to interact with collectables, NPCs, and environmental assets. Interrupting the death animation by collecting a power cell on the same frame that Jak dies will bypass the death animation but retain the death state. This allows Jak to walk around while death state is active.

Ghost glitch was first discovered accidentally by Nuka, hence the old name Nuka glitch, and he shared some (no longer existing) footage of green eco trailing Jak and being unable to collect items. Because he wasn't sure how he triggered the glitch and wasn't recording until it happened, it wasn't replicated for several years after its accidental discovery.

The bounce involves Jak being magnetized towards an object and landing in a safe zone on the opposite side that does not result in another magnetization, allowing Jak to continue.

Within the game, there exists a function called <code>find-ground-point</code> that begins checking for nearby objects to bounce Jak to when he is in his bouncing state. While normally invisible, the function can be displayed as a spider mesh within the game to visually see how it operates. If an object is detected within the boundaries of the spider mesh as Jak lands on the ground, the game will bounce, or magnetize, Jak towards that object. In certain instances, Jak will bounce towards the object and land in a position where the object is no longer within the boundaries of the spider mesh. This will prevent Jak from bouncing towards the object any further, thus resulting in a Kuitar Bounce.

Once in this standpoint, Jak is able to jump and grab the ledge. From here, Jak can pull himself up and continue to the Klaww fight.
